Low cost airline AirAsia and Online travel portal Expedia.com have launched a joint venture company which will offer flights, holiday options and different range of hotels in the Asia Pacific region.The JV is headquartered in Singapore headed by Dan Lynn, CEO of Air Asia Expedia.
The venture will provide leisure travellers and Indian flyers to choose from 140000 hotels as well as flight connectivity to smaller cities apart from major cities in the South East Asia.
Expedia Air Aisa JV will provide customised travel packages to its customers. It is offering 3 nights and 4 days package with return tickets to Bali,Hong Kong, Phuket, and Kuala Lumpur. The packages from Delhi will cost to Kuala Lumpur Rs 12453, Bali Rs 17367, Hong Kong Rs 23227 and Phuket Rs 17340.
As per President Expedia Worldwide Scott Durchslag this JV will redefine the travel in South East Asia region and will travellers a memorable experience of the landscape. Expedia focuses to deliver an incredible value & travel experience to its worldwide clients. India is a 4.5 billion dollar market with 75 percent people wants to explore South East Asia which is accessible because of Air Asia. With the internet revolution 24 percent of the Indian wants to book their travel through online. So it gives a good opportunity to the Indians to explore these places.
