Ashok Leyland Ltd. is a Hinduja Group flagship company manufacturing commercial vehicles . The company is India’s second biggest truck-maker. The company reported an over three-fold jump in commercial vehicle sales at 7871 units in January 2010 compared to the 2444 commercial vehicle sales in same month of 2009.

Domestic sales too increased three fold and stood at 7460 units in January 2010 against 2026 units in the same month last year 2009, an over three-fold rise here too. Exports, however, fell by marginally to 411 units in the month compared with 418 units in the year-ago period.
