As per the latest report of Forbes magazine, there are 1,210 billionaires in the world this year. Total net worth of these 1,210 billionaires is $4.5 trillion. India’s top 100 richest persons have a combined fortune of $276 billion which is almost one-fourth of the country’s GDP.
Mexico’s Carlos Slim widened his lead at No. 1. NRI steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal and Indian industrialist Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries are amongst the richest top 10. This time Lakshmi Mittal occupied the number 1 position of the richest Indian while last year Mukesh Ambani was in number 1 position.
