The Employees Provident Fund Organisation of India (EPFO) has entered into new technology era and starts providing EPF balace on a click of mouse to its subscriber. I remember the days when it was a difficult task to know the EPF balance. The service starts by EPFO from 1st of July 2011 and fpr few areas lile Delhi (North), Delhi (South), Laxmi Nagar (Delhi), Gurgaon, Faridabad, Karnal and Bangalore. It will add other areas one by one.
So if you want to know your EPF balance through SMS just visit the EPFO website, click on member balance link and select your EPFO office where your account is maintained.
Provide your PF Account number and click on the submit button. You will be asked to provide your name and mobile number and after all this you will get the balance details on your mobile through SMS.
