Hindustan Media Ventures IPO : Listing on 21st July 2010

HT Media is the well known publisher of English dailies in India. Hindustan Times is the main news paper of the group and in addition to Hindustan Times, HT Media also publishes a national business newspaper Mint. HT Media Ventures has entered the capital market with an initial public offering (IPO) of 16265060 Equity Shares of Rs 10 each for cash, at a premium to be decided through a 100% Book Building Process . The company informed the market (BSE) that the shares of its recent IPO will list on 21st Jul 2010. The IPO was open from 5th July 2010 to 7th July 2010. The price band was Rs 160 to Rs 175 and the Issue Price was fixed at Rs 166 per equity share.

The proceeds of the IPO will be used for expansion plans, setting up new publishing units; upgrading existing plant and machinery, prepayment of loans and general corporate purposes.

Shares of HT Media is already listed in BSE and NSE. Hindustan Media Ventures is promoted by HT Media Ltd, publisher of leading English dailies — Hindustan Times and Mint.
