JSW Energy is a subsidiary of Sajjan Jindal’s JSW Group. JSW Energy has fixed its IPO (initial public offering) listing date as 4th Jan 2010. The IPO was open for subscription between 7th to 9th Dec 2009. The price band for the IPO was Rs 100/115 per share. The company was in market to raise around Rs 2700 crore from the IPO. Issue price of this IPO has been fixed at Rs 100 per share (A discount of Rs. 5 was offered to the Retail shareholders). IPO was oversubscribed by 1.68 times (0.404 times in retail). CARE has assigned a Grade 4 to this JSW Energy IPO.
