L&T Finance IPO : Likely in January 2011

L&T Finance Limited has informed the share market (BSE) that the financial services arm of L&T (L&T Finance Holdings Ltd) has planning to enter capital markets with its maiden public issue of Rs 1500 crore in the month of January 2011. The premium to be decided via 100% book building process. The company is registered with the RBI as an NBFC-ND-SI and expecting a banking licence by March 2011. The company is a financial holding company offering a diverse range of financial products and services across the corporate, retail and infrastructure finance sectors, as well as mutual fund products and investment management services.

The Equity Shares are proposed to be listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).

Issue Size : Equity Shares of Rs 10 each
Issue Size : Rs. 1500 Crores

Listing At : BSE, NSE

The IPO proceeds would be used to augmenting the capital base of L&T Finance and L&T Infra, to meet the capital adequacy requirements to support the future growth in their business.

The Book running lead managers to the issue are HSBC, Citigroup, JM Financial, Barclays Capital, and Credit Suisse.
