Power Grid Corp FPO : Settled at 5.87% premium on debut

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) shares got debuted at Rs 95.00, a just 5.28% premium over its initial public offering (IPO) price of Rs 90.00 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). At the end of the day, shares price was Rs 96.55 which is a premium of 5.87% over the issue price of Rs 90.00. The stock hit a high of Rs. 97.25 and low of Rs. 93.30 on the listing day 25th Dec 2010. A total of 167,134,095 shares changed hands on the NSE. Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) is a public sector undertaking of the Indian Government. PGCIL is in the business of transmission of electric power in India. It owns and operates a large network of transmission lines and infrastructure that constitutes most of India’s interstate and inter-regional electric power transmission system and carries electric power across India.
