Shipping Corporation of India (SCI) FPO : Settled at 5.31% discount on debut

Shipping Corporation of India Limited’s shares got debuted at Rs 138.10, a 1.08% discount over its Follow-on Public Offering (FPO) price of Rs 140.00 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). At the end of the day, shares price was Rs 132.45 which is a discount of 5.31% over the issue price of Rs 140.00. The stock hit a high of Rs. 139.00 and low of Rs. 132.25 on the listing day 15th Dec 2010. A total of 6,721,308 shares changed hands on the NSE. Shipping Corporation of India Ltd (SCI) is India’s largest shipping companies handling around 35% of market share. SCI holds “Navratna” status. Shipping Corporation of India owns a fleet of 74 vessels of 5.11 million dead weight tonnage (DWT) and has ordered 29 vessels which will be operational in next 3 years.
