Areva T&D bags order worth Rs 130 crores

Areva T&D India is a leading player in the Power Transmission & Distribution business upto Extra High Voltage levels (765 kV). The company has informed the market (BSE) that it has bagged order worth Rs 130 crores for eBOP (electrical balance of plant) contract for Warora Thermal Power Plant being set up by GMR Group in Maharashtra. The order is for the supply and installation of electrical balance of plant solutions for 2X300 MW thermal power plants in Warora Taluka, District Chandrapur, Maharashtra.

Under the contract, Areva T&D India will manufacture and install a 400/220 kV Air-insulated Substation (AIS), as well as power and distribution transformers and switchgear equipments. The Warora Independent Power Plant is scheduled for commissioning in September 2011.
