AREVA TD bags order worth Rs 83 crores

AREVA Transmission and Distribution (T&D) division AREVA T&D India is a leading player in the Power Transmission & Distribution business upto Extra High Voltage levels (765 kV). The company has won three major orders from Chhattisgarh State Power Transmission Company Limited (CSPTCL) and West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL). All these orders together is worth Rs 83 crores.

Details of these orders is as under :-

1. Two of the orders are from the Chhattisgarh state utility, one for the manufacture and installation of a 132 kV Air-insulated Substation (AIS) at the Patan plant (central Chhattisgarh) and the other for a 220 kV (AIS) at the Vishrampur plant (northern Chhattisgarh). The orders are scheduled for completion by Q4 of 2010 end Q2 of 2011 respectively.
2. The West Bengal state utility contract, scheduled for completion by Q4 of 2011, is for the supply and installation of a 132/33 kV AIS at the Nazipur plant in Pirojpur (northern West Bengal), as well as two bay extension projects for the 132 kV AIS at Amtola, Kolkata.
