Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) bags order worth 62 crore

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has bagged an order from Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) for setting up a solar power project of 5-MW capacity at Belakavadi village in Karnataka. This contract is worth Rs 62 crore. With this order, the company is presently executing SPV-based power projects of various capacities totaling 16 MW.

BHEL is one of the few leading players in the field of solar photovoltaic and SPV power plants in India. These SPV modules are manufactured at BHEL’s manufacturing facility located at Bangalore. Solar cells and modules manufactured by the company are also exported to countries like Germany, Australia and Italy.
