BHEL bags contract worth $56 mln from Belarus

BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd.), India’s largest power equipment maker, said on Wednesday 30th Sep 09 that the company had won a Rs 2.7 billion ($56 million) contract in Belarus to build a 120 megawatts power plant.

The company said it was also setting up a marketing office in Kazakhstan with the aim of establishing a long-term presence in the Commonwealth of Independent States countries.

The CMP of the BHEL share is Rs 2325.
