BHEL bags order worth Rs 2665 crores

State-run Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is the largest engineering and manufacturing enterprise in India in the energy-related/infrastructure sector. The company has informed the market(BSE) that they bagged a Rs 2665 crores contract for for setting up a 1,200 MW coal-based thermal power plant in Chhattisgarh. This is a significant landmark for the company. The order is for supplying and installing boilers, turbines and generators for Dainik Bhaskar Power Limited (DBPL) in their upcoming thermal power project at Baradarha in Chhattisgarh

Bhel’s scope of work in the contract includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of the equipment along with other associated auxiliaries.
