Larsen & Toubro bags order worth Rs 1181 Crores

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is a technology-driven USD 8.5 billion construction company that infuses engineering with imagination. The company is an Engineering and infrastructure major company. The company informed the market (BSE) that they have won a number of orders from various gulf as well as indian companies for construction of power transmission lines and substation works. The combined cost of all the projects is Rs 1181 crores. Detail of these orders is as under :-

1. One order is for Rs 265 crore and has been received from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) for supply, installation, testing of 132 kV EHV cabling. The execution time of the project is 18 months.
2. Abu Dhabi Distribution Company has placed an EPC order of Rs 100 crore for construction of Power Distribution Network. The execution time of the project is 16 months.
3. Third Order is worth Rs 376 crore and has been secured by the Company’s JV in Muscat from Oman Electricity Transmission Company for executing on EPC basis 200 km of 200 kV Double Circuit Overhead Transmission Line.
4. Another order is a national order and it is worth Rs 246 crore from Power Grid Corporation and Rs 74 crore for construction of 36 km long 400 kV Transmission Lines.
5. Final order is again a national order , which is secured for Rs 120 from SAIL for expansion of their 4.5 MTPA Roukela Steel Plant.
