Siemens consortium bags order worth Rs 287.7 crores

Siemens Ltd has informed the share market (BSE) that a consortium of its with Siemens AG, Germany (SAG) has bagged an order worth Rs 287.7 crores from Power Grid Company Limited, of Bangladesh. This order is for supply of equipment for the 500 MW Back to Back HVDC project set up at Bheramara in Bangladesh. This project is being set up under India-Bangladesh Power exchange program and is being funded by ADB. This is the first HVDC project to be excicuted in Bangladesh. The project is scheduled to be completed in 24 months.

Siemens has good experience of similar work and executed similar projects in the past at Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul and Malaysia. Siemens Limited is world`s leading supplier of a complete spectrum of products, services and solutions for the generation, transmission and distribution of power.
