Spanco bags order worth Rs 85 crores from GSEB

Spanco Limited has informed the share market (BSE/NSE) that they won the IT modernization project of the Goa State Electricity Board (GSEB) beating HCL, Reliance, Wipro, L&T Infotech, TCS and some others. Earlier the company had won similar orders from the states of Punjab, Maharashtra and Bihar. This is company’s 4th order in the similar space. This order is worth Rs 85 crores. Spanco is appointed as IT implementation Agency (System Integrator) for implementation of IT infrastructure for GSEB. This project is the part of Restructured Accelerated Power Development & Reforms Programme(R-APDRP) instituted by Ministry of Power, Government of India to improve the power supply reliability at distribution level and to achieve commercial viability of the state electricity departments.
