Suzlon Energy bags 1,000 MW order from Caparo Energy India

Pune based Suzlon Energy Limited is world’s fifth largest wind turbine maker. The company has informed the market that it got an order for 1,000 MW of projects from Caparo Energy India. This is a big home order for the company and it will place it in the market where it is might be placed two years from now. Recently it received an order from Vedanta too.

The company has been posting losses for several quarters now. Suzlon’s net losses in the 2nd quarter of the current fiscal year amounted to Rs 369 crore. The company has debt obligation of Rs 10,000 crore as well.

The worth of the project is around Rs 5,800 crore and will be steadily developed by March 2013.
