Suzlon Energy bags 51 MW order from USA

Suzlon Energy Limited is world’s fifth largest wind turbine maker. Its subsidiary REpower Systems AG has informed the market that it got an order for the delivery of 25 wind turbines with EverPower Wind Holdings, Inc. with an option to purchase an additional 85 units. These turbines have to be installed in development projects located across the US states of New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington. EverPower has planned projects totaling more than 600 MW of capacity targeted for construction over the next three years.

The 25 wind turbines will have a total power output of 51 megawatts. The project will be commissioned by the end of 2011.
