Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) bags order from Karnataka Government

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India’s number one IT company, has won State Data Centre (SDC) project from Karnataka Government for establishing and managing the same. Indian software giant is already associated with the Centre for e- Governance in setting up the new Secretariat Local Area Network (LAN). The company is focussing on India in a big way after the racession, previously it was a foreign export based company.

The new State Data Centre (SDC) will provide better operation and management control and minimise overall cost of data management, IT resource management, deployment and other costs. TCS is already associated and completed similar e-governance projects on behalf of the states of Puducherry and Uttar Pradesh . The company has also been managing the entire Secretariat LAN of the government of Karnataka

However, the company did not divulge financial details on the contract received from Karnataka Government.
