BHEL Q2 FY11 Results : Net profit rises 33.15%

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has posted a phenomenal increase in net profit for the period Q2 (ending Sep 2010) of the current fiscal (FY11). During the said quarter, net profit rises 33.15% to Rs 1142.28 crore in comparison to the Rs 858.5 crore of Q2 (ending Sep 09) of previous year(FY10). Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) is an India-based engineering and manufacturing company. It is engaged in the energy related/infrastructure sector. The Company caters to sectors, including power generation and transmission, industry, transportation, renewable energy and defense.

The company informed the share market(BSE) that the net sales increased 24.98% to Rs 8652.64 crore in quarter ended Sep 2010 when compared with the last years same quarter ended Sep 2009 which was Rs 6625.7 crore. The company said it had outstanding order book of Rs. 1,54,000 crore at the end of Q2 September 2010.
