Gujarat State Petronet (GSPL) has posted a phenomenal increase in standalone net profit for the period Q4 (ending Mar 2011) of the current fiscal (FY11). During the said quarter, net profit rises 39.65% to Rs 150.63 crore in comparison to Rs 107.86 crore of Q4 (ending Mar 2010) of previous year(FY10). Gujarat State Petronet Limited is first company in India to transport natural gas on open access basis and is a Pure Natural Gas (PNG) Transmission Company. Its a subsidiary of GSPC.
The company informed the share market (BSE/NSE) that the total income/net sales however decreased to Rs 258.02 crore in quarter ended Mar 2011 when compared with the last years same quarter ended Mar 2010 which was Rs 266.78 crore.
The board of directors recommended a final dividend of Rs 1 per share (10% on face value of Rs 10).
