Gurgaon based India’s largest two wheelers manufacturer has posted a net profit for the period Q4 (ending Mar 11) of the current fiscal (FY10-11) but there is a decline in profit due to increase in raw material cost. During the said quarter, net profit slides 16% to Rs 504.3 crores in comparison to Rs 598.8 crores of Q4 (ending Mar 10) of previous year (FY09-10). Hero Honda Motors Limited is the world’s biggest manufacturer of 2-wheeled motorized vehicles since 2001, when it produced 1.3 million motorbikes in a single year. The 2006 Forbes 200 Most Respected companies list has Hero Honda Motors ranked at 108.
The company has informed the share market (BSE/NSE) that the net sales, however, rose 31.1% to Rs 5,391 crore in Q4 (ending Mar 2011) of the current fiscal (FY10-11) when compared with the same quarter Q4 (ending Mar 2010) of previous year (FY09-10). Total sales was Rs 4,122.3 crores in last year’s quarter Q4.
