Jain Irrigation Q2 FY11 Results : Net profit up by 46%

Jain Irrigation System Limited has posted a phenomenal increase in net profit for the period Q2 (ending Sep 2010) of the current fiscal (FY11). During the said quarter, consolidated net profit increased by 46.31% to Rs 62.31 crore in comparison to the Rs 43.14 crore of Q2 (ending Sep 09) of previous year(FY10). Jain Irrigation System Limited is a multinational organization with global presence in 110 countries based in Jalgaon, Maharashtra, India. JISL employs over 7,500 workers and manufactures a number of products, including drip and sprinkler irrigation systems and components, integrated irrigation automation systems, PVC and PE piping systems, plastic sheets, greenhouses, bio-fertilizers, solar water-heating systems, biogas plant on turnkey basis, wind hybrid energy and photovoltaic system.

The company informed the share market(BSE) that the total net sales increased 15.2 % to Rs 637.05 crore in quarter ended Sep 2010 when compared with the last years same quarter ended Sep 2009 which was Rs 550.21 crore.
