Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals (MRPL), a state-of-the-art grassroot refinery at Mangalore in Karnataka, has achieved a significant zoom in profit the Q2 of the current fiscal (FY10). During the said quarter, profit increased 7.21 times to Rs 179.69 crore from Rs 24.92 crore in the same quarter previous year(FY09).

The company informed the market that the total income declined by 41.03% to Rs 7939.90 crore in this current quarter while it was Rs 101346.45 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal (FY09).

MRPL share’s CMP is Rs 75.20 on 28th Oct 09.
