Omaxe, FY09 net profit dips 91% at Rs. 41.31 cr

Realty developer Omaxe reported a 91% dip in its consolidated net profit for the financial year ended 31 March, 2009, to Rs41.31 crore.
The company had a consolidated net profit of Rs494.87 crore during the 2007-08 fiscal, Omaxe said in a filing to the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The consolidated net sales of the realty firm plunged to Rs798.79 crore during the past fiscal from Rs2,281.61 crore a year earlier.
On a standalone basis, Omaxe posted a net profit of Rs78.11 crore during the 2008-09 fiscal, down 80% compared to Rs398.80 crore in the previous year.
The standalone net sales of the company dropped to Rs699.77 crore during the FY09 from Rs1,789.49 crore of FY08.
