Auto Sales making new records in October 2010

Auto Sales is increasing every month and making new heights month after month as there is a significant increase in the salary of Indian Employees by sixth pay commission. For October 2010, the sales data comes out and all the company including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Hero Honda have made new records in sales.

Maruti Suzuki :- Maruti Suzuki India sales rose 39.21% at 1.18 lakh units in October 2010 over October 2009. This is the highest ever monthly sales recorded by the company. It improved its previous overall sales recorded in September 2010 at 1.08-lakh units. It also made another record of crossing the one-lakh-unit sales mark in the domestic market last month.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) :- Hyundai Motor India sales too rose 22.70% at 34,725 units in October 2010 over October 2009. This is the highest ever monthly sales recorded by the company. It improved its previous overall sales recorded in September 2010 at 31,715 units. The introduction of new Next Gen i10 has really pepped up things for HMIL with the new i10 sales growing as much as 26% in the last two months.

Tata Motors :- Tata Motors also saw its sales rising by over 21% at 64,757 units in October 2010 over October 2009.

Mahindra & Mahindra :- Mahindra & Mahindra too reported a 34.38% jump in total sales at 34,495 units in October 2010 over October 2009.

General Motors :- General Motors India also did reasonably well last month. It reported a 35.59% jump in total sales at 10,000 units in October 2010 over October 2009.

Ford India :- Ford India too reported over two-fold jump in its sales at 9,026 units in October 2010 over October 2009.

These were the sales figures of four wheeler segment for October 2010 similarly in the two-wheeler segment companies showed an impressive sales data.

Hero Honda Motorcycle:- Hero Honda is India’s largest two wheelers manufacturer. The company has announced its sales data for the month of October 2010. The company reported 42.75% rise as its sales crossed 5-lakh-units in October 2010 over October 2009. This is its highest-ever monthly sales.

TVS Motor Company :- Chennai-based TVS Motor Company have reported its highest-ever monthly sales of over 1.91-lakh units in October 2010, 46.18% higher than the same month last year.

Suzuki Motorcycle :- Suzuki Motorcycle sales went up by 60% to 25,439 units in October 2010 over October 2009.

Scooter India :- Scooter India reported an over two-fold increase in sales to 1.48-lakh units in October 2010 over October 2009.

Yamaha Motor :- Yamaha Motor also reported a 19.21% increase in total sales at 37,251 units in October 2010 over October 2009.
