Bajaj Auto sales jump 26% in Sep 2010

Pune-based Bajaj Auto is India’s second largest Auto manufacturer and the company is owned by Bajaj Family. Bajaj Auto Ltd. is engaged in the manufacture of scooters, motorcycles and three-wheeler vehicles and spare parts thereof. Bajaj Auto has plants located at Mumbai-Pune Road, Akurdi, Pune and Bajaj Nagar, Waluj, Aurangabad. The company has announced its sales data for the month of September 2010. The company reported a jump of 26% in motor cycle sales to 314,515 units in Sep, 2010, compared to 249,133 units in the same month of the previous year.

India’s well known company, Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL)`s exports went up by 26% to 101,960 units in Sep, 2010, from 80,681 units in Sep, 2009. Total vehicle sales of the company last month stood at 352,769 units, compared to 269,133 units in the same period a year ago, a growth of 26%.
