Bajaj Auto sales jump 55% in August 2010

Bajaj Auto is India’s second largest Auto manufacturer and the company is owned by Bajaj Family. Bajaj Auto Ltd. is engaged in the manufacture of scooters, motorcycles and three-wheeler vehicles and spare parts thereof. Bajaj Auto has plants located at Mumbai-Pune Road, Akurdi, Pune and Bajaj Nagar, Waluj, Aurangabad. The company has announced its sales data for the month of August 2010. The company reported a alltine high whopping jump of 55% in sales to 3,29,364 units in August 2010, compared to 2,13,072 units in the same month of the previous year.

Motorcycles were the biggest gainer with 59% jump in sales to 2,98,176 units compared to 1,82,441 units in the previous year. The company sold the highest number of Pulsar and Discover bikes last month. Three wheeler sales for the month stand at 40,188 units, a growth of over 34% when compared to 30,021 units sold in the same month last year.

India’s well known company, BAL`s exports went up by 31% to 98,578 units in August 2010, from 75,164 units in August 2009.
