Tata Motors reported total sales of 78786 units car during Sept but its small car Nano sales declined to 47 percent. During September 2010 the company had sold 64668 units as compared to 78786 units this year which is up by 22 percent. The total sales of its passenger vehicles in the domestic market were 26319 units were up 10.22 percent from 23877 in September 2010.
The company’s people car Nano reported sales of 2936 units a dip of 47 percent during the same period a year ago. Indica sales grew by 64 percent to 10,282 units.
The sales of its cars Safari, Sumo, Venture and Aria grew by 60 percent to 5308 units during the same period last year. The Indigo sales were down by 11 percent and recorded sales of 7793 for the month of September.
The company sold 46247 units in the domestic market in its commercial vehicles segment which rose 29 percent from to 35734 units September 2010. Sales of Light commercial vehicle were 28,092 units which grew 47 percent over last year same period. The sales for medium and heavy commercial vehicle stood at 18155 units a growth of 9 percent compared to the same month last year. Tata motors export grew by 23 percent to 6220 units from 5057 units in the same month during 2010.
